AGAIL/Sensations AND Regular Felix on ofer in Asda

Post by MarkB »

I'm planning on going there later this week to stock up if the offers are still on.

All regular Felix 2 for £5
AGAIL/Sensations 3 for £10

And Lidl is opposite do I can get some of their jelly pouches :) (As well as their Madagascan Vanilla ice cream! :) )

Asda often have this sort of offer on. I hover between them, Pets at Home (right next door to our Lidl) and a NI company, Jolleys. I spend more time hunting bargains for the cats than I do shopping for our food

Thanks for the heads-up about the Ice cream. If it's as good as their other stuff, it will be YUMMY!

It's the one in the royal blue tub. It is one of the best ice creams I have tasted. You can see the flecks of vanilla in it :)

I always check on mysupermarket if I need lots of cat food as it can make a huge difference to my bill. The most expensive for AGAIL at the moment is Tesco @ £4.50.

We also have Jolleys here (my nearest is in Dover, 20 miles away), but I find that like Pets at Home, they are expensive if things aren't on offer. A while back I went to Pets at Home without checking prices beforehand, and they were charging over £5 a box for AGAIL - luckily B&M is next door and they had some for £2.99 a box :)

Pets at Home have the same offers on Felix right now. I got some today. Then I went next door to Lidl's bought some Coshida and some of that Vanilla Ice Cream. YUMMEE! :D Now THAT'S Ice CREAM (39%). (I made Crumble with some of our apples and blackberries from the hedge - the ice cream was perfect) Willow likes it so it must be good!

Pets at Home is a bit further than Asda for me - Lidl is opposite Asda and I pass Home Bargains on the way back. That is what I will be doing on Friday.

PS - Glad you like the ice cream :) - we deserve a treat too! :)

I shall get down to PAH to stock up on the Felix then. Thanks :)

I shall also send OH to a Lidl near his work (we don't have one near here) to seek out the ice cream - we're practically living off apple/damson/blackberry crumbles at the moment! :D

You had better request the large tub then Helen :D

Make sure it is the one in the royal blue tub, as they have everything from the huge tubs of soft scoop vegetable fat that passes for ice cream to the good stuff and everything inbetween! :)

If you haven't tried the Coshida in jelly pouches, highly recommended. No cereals or sugars in them and they smell really meaty. Apparently the 0.1% inulin fibre they put in imparts sweetness, without the calories (saves me paying £8 a box for Royal Canin ultra light for Kylie, which I doubt is as good and contains cereals! )

When I go next (possibly today) I will buy whatever they have of the jelly pouches and maybe a box or two of the gravy ones.

If you didn't see the post in Health, this is the label.

Thanks Mark - I've directed OH accordingly! :D

We've tried the Coshida trays before (which went down well), but I don't think we've ever tried the pouches.

Kylie adores them. She eats the lot, which is rare for her :) - it really smells appetising - not at all like regular cat food.

Make sure it is the premium ones, as the basic ones are rubbish (different supplier) Even the premium ones are only £2.49 a box. I bought the 5 they had left today and one box of the gravy ones (they had hundreds)

As for the ice cream, I got the name wrong - it is called Bourbon Vanilla. The 1L tub is blue, but they have now made the 2.5L tub red :) (I was good and only bought a blue! :) )

Always a next time Helen! :)

Let's call the blue the sample size. I am also wondering what I was thinking of buying it! :)

Well not really cat related, but I offered Laz a bit and he didn't want it. I gave him his usual treat of a knob of Lurpak (he doesn't like other brands!) :)

Here was my treat. (with chopped up finger of fudge and blueberries)

Yumeeee! :D Willow has a passion for cream in any form - yoghurt (not the low fat rubbish  ), rice pudding and ice cream. She gets to 'licky licky' the bowl when we have finished. Then spends the evening smacking her lips.

That does look yummy! :D

Both Grumpy Nellie and Basil love cream - they get to lick the lids off any tubs of cream or off milk bottles (we have our milk delivered in bottles, full fat of course). :)

Pip says can she move in with you Mark? She'll happily have any ice cream Laz doesn't want...

He is such an odd cat. He won't touch any type of treat either. Pip is welcome to any ice cream here - as long as she is prepared to fight me for it! :)
