Thought some of you might be interested in a new publication which I've been directed to on Facebook - it's a downloadable free booklet on Cats and the Law.

We've had a few questions about the law on the forum before, so this might be helpful.

I'm really gob-smacked at that wonderful black cat. I've been looking at it again and thinking 'how did they manage to take such a fabulous photo?' My design background would not leave it alone. Then the light dawned.
It is amazing what you can do with Photoshop! Take a close look at the cat's whiskers. Mirror Image?

I know, I should get a life.

I just thought (hoped) that someone had managed to take a good photo of a black cat - I'm still trying.
This does not detract from the fact that the info that follows the photo is very interesting and could be very useful.

Ah! Well spotted! My meager attempts at black cat close-ups of Lara - unphotoshopped!!

Well done! They are both much better than my attempts. I won't post them, I don't want to frighten you
Some years back I did a painting of our Lurcher, Katie. She was grey and I did the painting on black paper - just her beautiful, brown eyes and pale grey highlights. It seemed to capture her sweet, scruffy spirit. I tried the same with Willow

I thought emerald eyes and white highlights would work..... it didn't.
Back to the drawing board - literally

Wow - beautiful pics! Black cats are so striking, it's a shame they're so hard to capture, but those look great.
