I love to write poems and thought this might make you laugh

THE TOMCAT!!!

Hello said the tomcat with a smile,
Trust your new friend for a while,

Don' try to escape through this fence! I'm the guy with experience.

Come back later she said with a grin
When May's finished that bottle of Gin.

I'll get through the cat flap when she's in bed,
I'll meet you at 11 behind the shed!

Time to go in it's time for Tea
Can you hear her she's shouting me.

Later that night we met as planned
Walked to the park hand in hand.

When I got home I felt the guilt and ran upstairs
and got under May's quilt.

I was thinking over and over what have I done??
I was very naughty but it was Fun!.

Nine weeks later The Kittens are here,
I didn't expect them to appear!.

Now off the teats mature at last,
Home's are needed quick and fast.

MAY's not happy! Call the CSA I'm gonna make
that TOM CAT PAY!

May, this was for Mr Socks, who was a stray, after he had been caught for TNR. He now now lives with Jacks who is on this forum and who spend weeks, if not months, winning him round so she could get him to the vet to be neutered. He is now a big soft homeboy, although he and one of her girls still have 'issues'

In Enfield Town there was a dude who wandered all around
Of shaggy coat and wild eye, his offspring did abound.

And in that place there did abide three youngen maidens fair
And of that dude they were afright, his wild ways were meant to scare

But in that town a lady kind did look upon that dude
‘Socks shall be his name’, she cried. ‘His life I’ll make be not so crude.’

And so that saga did unfold, a legend that will last
For months that lady and her serf enticed with love that feline dude.

The maidens fair watched on with awe; that dude they could not shake
He chased and swore, and worst of all, their maiden virtue tried to take!

But as all storytellers know, ‘tis love that wins the day
The lady and her serf pressed on; ‘Surrender not!’ they oft did say.

As autumn sun to orange turned, the day it did arrive
As Mr Socks bent to his food, his tail tucked round, and .... Big Surprise!

Mr Socks was in the bag; the lady leapt with joy
‘Sweet maidens fair’, she told the girls, ‘Who knows, that dude may yet be coy!’

So while that dude still wanders free, it’s love that keeps him safe.
And as the sky to winter turns the lady and her maidens wait
For Mr Socks to come in peace and make his home in that kind place

That is brilliant i loved it you should write more :D
I think you might like this one i wrote ?

My Menu!!

I like to have my sardines mashed, with a little bit of rice,
You might think that’s horrible, but it’s actually quite nice.

When I ask for chicken I like to have the breast,
You can give the other nasty bits to any of the rest.

I also like a pouch or two if you mix it with fresh meat,
My Mum says it’s for good girls, an extra special treat.

And when I want something different, which I often do,
I’ll expect some fish! The special dish! That my Mum used to do!

You mix my fish with Tuna, but never with the brine!
This is a defendant NO!, at this I draw the line!
A prawn or two is optional, I don’t expect too much,
But my Mum assures me they add that extra loving touch!

Ooh I also like some yogurt and just a little cheese,
I will ask you very nicely I may even say please.

A little bit of James Wellbeloved to nibble for a snack!
I hope your paying attention? If not you’ll get a crack!

I never eat the canned stuff, no that’s not for me!
My Mum says it’s nasty, It’s not good enough for me!!

Very good May!

Every year I do a Christmas card featuring our kitties. This year I'm torn between 'Wreck the halls with Bob and Tommy' or...

'We three Queens from West Fermanagh
Looking for treats mum keeps in a jar
We know young Bob
Will do the job
'Cos he knows just where they are'

What do you think? I might do both!

Really enjoying all the poems!

For a brill rhyming song on You Tube, check out Shorty and Kody and their song "I'm climbing up the Christmas Tree Neow", really good, great video and song. Guaranteed to make you smile!
