BUY A CAT A DINNER ON E-BAY CAT RESCUE- ANYONE ELSE BID ?
Hi, all you lovely people, I have bought a rescue cat a dinner on e-bay for the Cats Protection League in Andover, they have lots of cats on there who are asking you to bid to buy a dinner (usually about a pound) Has anyone else heard of this for any other Cats Protection areas ? I am currently bidding on a dinner for Susie at £1.20 at the moment ?...x

So, so suprised that I have not received any response, other than from Sarah. 'through the cat flap ' site...I honestly thought that this would be close to the hearts of us all......I have to say I feel terribly dissapointed........

I'm investigating whether this is something my CP branch can do, I've only heard of this for dogs

Thank you for posting it, fundraising is hard enough to fit in, so any way of raising money without much effort is good to me.

Sorry Julie, I've been offline for a couple of days! Yes, it does look like a good idea, and thanks for posting.

What a wonderful idea! After a search on eBay I see there are a number of these CP listings so will definitely be bidding.

This is a great idea from a rescue, and a good thing to have flagged up, but I think it's unfair to imply that supporting rescue cats is not 'close to the hearts' of most users of this site. Many Catchat regulars already donate food/time/money to cat rescues of their choice - some even work in rescue - and with so many out there nobody can support every cat charity going. Other people may not be able to afford to give to charity, especially at this time of year, and they shouldn't be made to feel guilty for that.

Camdengirl I most certainly didn't wish to make anyone feel that way, apologies if it came across that way....hopefully, most know me on here to realise that this would most certainly NOT be my intention ....I was not pertaining to the fact that no one had 'donated' or intended to do so, irregardless of any time of the year, my comment was just in relation to the fact that I had received few responses, it had nothing to do with me 'making anyone feel guilty' whatseoever...so personal apologies to yourself and any others who may have felt that my comment was in any way 'malicious' ...I truly hope that this would be a minority, just a "sounds a good idea...." comment was all I meant..and thank you to those who have commented thus...
