Microchipping

Post by HeatherG3000 »

I got my baby microchipped yesterday. He is 12 weeks old. The poor wee thing squeeled and it took 3 attempts!

Last night he was pretty lethargic and feeling sorry for himself and same again tonight. He hasn't eaten much and is just snoozing...is this ok? Hess anyone else experienced this?

I'm sorry to hear this. From recent experience with a poorly kitty I wish I'd taken him to the vets sooner when he wouldn't eat his usual kibble. Turns out it was kidney disease and not dental problems as originally though by us and the first vet we saw. Don't mean to worry you as that isn't the case here but vet visit would give you peace of mine. My advice would be to check with the vets, as when they stop eating it can be difficult to get them to eat again.

Oh poor little thing! They don't often microchip them that young as they're so tiny.. !

How is he Today Heather? Kittens can go downhill pretty quickly due to their size so if he's still off colour you should probably pop him along to the vet for a checkup. I hope that's not the case and he's feeling better after the weekend!

He's very snoozy, always cat napping...but I think that is just his personality in general!

He wasn't really eating, but I am putting that down to food type at the moment cos I tried him on some bits of chicken and he was enjoying munching away at that last night!

He seems to have a little cough at the moment which I am a bit concerned about...maybe just paranoid. Our last cat passed away from FIP so I am pretty paranoid about everything our new baby is doing and I'm watching him constantly at the minute!!!

The cough I thought was maybe just furball but he isn't bringing anything up! Maybe a wee cold, which would explain that tiredness and the food too!?
