Basil and Daz

Post by Crewella »

When he'd finally recovered after his broken leg and I decided he could stay with us, poor old Basil also had to cope with learning to live with several other cats after 9 years as an only cat. He'd also been bullied by the cats belonging to the lady who was trying to feed him when he was a stray. It was a tough time for all of us as he settled in, he wasn't keen, and on several occasions I almost gave up and put him up for rehoming.

Added to that is the fact that I was worried about Daz being lonely after we lost his partner in crime, Peaches, a few months ago. The two lads do seem to be getting on pretty well, but coming home to this just now has really, really made my day!

Oh Helen, that is sooo sweet! You must have been overjoyed! :D

It's funny, despite there great age difference, Bobby and Tom will cuddle up together. But you would never see the girls do that.

I keep looking at the photo it's lovely.

One word to describe how I feel right now - Jealous!!!

that is such an amazing photo and I long for the day that I catch two of mine in a similar compromising position; and my lot get on OK!

You must have been so happy to see your two boys like that, esp given they must have been relaxed enough for you to be able to stop and get your phone / a camera and take the photo

Yup, I'm jealous!

Fusses to the two boys x

It actually got even better, as they stayed there for ages and Merrick joined on the end!

I'm sure you can all guess what happened next ...... OH and I were so loath to disturb them that we ended up sitting on the floor!!

I so wish my cat loved his stray friends....he blooming hates them both, a neutered boy and girl (who get on and tolerate each other, even though one has been here more than a year and the other since August)....

All my cats in past have got on , whether they liked it or not, but Spike he becomes plain evil when he sees these two....he'll be sulking Christmas day as they are both going to get same amount of presents as him :D

Raises eyebrows again looking at Daz!!!! :D

Lovely photo Helen. :D

Some nights we are like that, or perched on the edge of the seat with a cat stretched out behind us! Things have got a little better since we gave them the boxes.

So nice to see contented kitties.
