Gaia had her first vet check up today and it turns out that she is a he!!! :o :o

I really don't know how I didn't notice because his bits are very clear to see!

Need to come up with a new name for my little boy now...

the good news is that neutering is cheaper for a boy - and Gaius would be close

It's surprising how often this happens. We run a subsidised neutering scheme and we quite often have to break the news when taking back someone's cat that their lovely little girl with the pink collar is actually a boy. We've also just had come in for rehoming two really butch looking male cats called Maisy and Milly! :P

I know that stupid feeling. I was told that Cookie was a girl so I adopted him from a colleague who didn't want him anymore. Three days and he finally comes out from under the bed and lets me stroke him; and erm...two 'lumps'. Oh $&!%. Panda, my other cat is a girl. They had introduced themselves. Thankfully (or not?) no little babies.

Quite how 'they' were missed I'm not sure. Still his cat-hood was removed soon after the discovery.
