She has decided that she doesn't need to hide any more and is all over me :) - she is cuddling up to me, pawing my face and generally being gorgeous :)

Hopefully I will get some proper photos in the morning. She is a big kitten really. Still a bit clumsy.

She's lovely Mark. In that picture she reminds me of Tommy, same coloured nose and soppy expression, and you know how wild he was when he first came to us.

I hope she soon settles in, just like he did. :D

Sadly, she is going to the rescue (home foster) on Tuesday.

Edit - change of plans - she is going to be here until Tuesday week (28th)

Lol - she's going to the rescue centre? I'll believe that when I see it!

Errm I think she's got her paws under your table...

Beautiful girl and it's so great she's socialising with you already; she must think she's in paradise after her last 'owners' or whatever they were.

If she's letting you get close to her, well, you'll know this about watching out for the rosy coloured nipples, first sign of pregnancy, would be very interesting to know if this is the case.

Poor little devil (and the other cat too with the injured tail) some of them have such a rough deal in life and they go on giving so much love and trust. And then people who don't know about cats say they're cold and aloof...

She's adorable!!!

Glad she's staying a bit longer. Enjoy the cuddles while you can. She's obviously taken to you now and trusts you. Such a sweet little girl :)

She is adorable. That is what makes it hard! :)

I am going to see the vets tomorrow about getting her neutered this week. They don't have an arrangement with CP, although they will accept vouchers. I know they charge more, but I will ask. I am also going to see if there is any chance of her having internal stitches to avoid her having to wear a lampshade.

You're obviously making sure she gets the full benefit of life under your care, at least for the time she's with you!

Lucky girl. :)

Oh, she's so lovely, Mark. I wish you could keep her with you. It will be sad saying goodbye even after a short time. I still hanker after the little girl who stayed with us for a week last Christmas.

She is :) - It is going to be tough letting her go. She is booked in for her spay on Thursday. They do internal stitches as standard, so no lampshade :)

Good plan. It's nice that you have her for another week, though it will make it even harder to give her back.

Is there any chance at all of you keeping her? Or do you think it would be too much for Kylie?

I don't think Dennis wants to commit. As you know, it is a big commitment. I think she will get a good home through Nicola and there will always be more cats. She is so lovely though :|

I know the feeling, exactly. All of the cats that I've fostered have been lovely, and several of them I'd have been happy to keep, but for one reason or another I know it won't work. I kept Pugwash because he fitted in with the others but also because, as a 15 year old cat that's food obsessed, grumpy, bites and eats his own poo, he stood little chance of getting a home anywhere else!

If they're nice cats. as Woody was and this girl so obviously is, then you know that someone, somewhere will fall for them and they'll find a home of their own, even if it takes a little time. I find that makes it easier to pass them on. Slightly, anyway!

She is so loveable, This afternoon I asked Dennis again if he was going to have a turn spending some time with her. He said "later" - it didn't happen. I asked him again tonight why he hasn't spent any time with her, He said he knows he will fall in love and she needs to be a foster cat only. I was right :geek:

Julia - yes, she isn't 'a case' she has no defects, either physical or mental, we can't possibly consider her as a full time resident :D

Anyway, this afternoon she progressed to on the bed. We had some quality time (a long nap) together.

I must remember to take my phone up tomorrow as she scarpers when I try to use the proper camera. I think it is the pre-flash that scares her.

So ready to starve her for her spay on Thursday. Poor little girl is going to be so hungry.

You would think a young cat like that would be running around all the time, but she seems to spend most of her time trying to get comfortable on me. After the first few days of hiding under the bed, I thought she was going to be really timid, but she just wants cuddles all the time. I feel guilty leaving her to do other stuff. I think she will make a great companion cat for someone. I must take my phone up later to get some photos. Dreading starving her later :(

I hate that bit too, it feels like you're punishing them for something, and you can't explain why. :(

She will make somebody a lovely companion, by the sound of it.

Yes Helen. I agree and I feel terrible about it. I am ignoring the daft 6pm deadline though. She can have supper at least.

Blissfully unaware.

I'd ignore that too - why make them suffer for longer than is necessary! My vets now say midnight, thankfully.

Hope tonight goes OK, and good luck for tomorrow. xx

Dropped her off about an hour ago. The said I can phone around 2pm to see how she is, but likely she won't be ready to pick up until around 3.30pm.

Butterflies! :)

Even though it's all routine, it's still a worry.

It's a big op for the girls really.

Hope she's ok x
