Awwwww, lovely pic. Especially as we know he did come in from the cold. :)

Good vibes for Greebo would be appreciated - he goes for his neutering op and his dental this morning. They've booked an hour to dig out the remains of his poor old broken teeth.

Good vibes Greebo.

Mr G says he'll be fine without either of the items being removed!

Best vibes ever, Greebo and Crewella - it's awful taking them to the vet's and leaving them there, especially as you can't explain to them.

The old chap will soon be feeling a lot better though once that's over with and healed - he'll be gumming his grub with the best of them x

Thanks everyone. Poor Greebo is still at the vets and still has all his bits. They found he was quite dehydrated and has a bit of a urine infection, so are keeping him on a drip overnight in the hope that he'll be OK to operate on in the morning. Poor boy, I know it's for the best, but I promised him faithfully I'd be back for him tonight and I know he'll be scared and miserable. Tomorrow can't come quickly enough.

Oh no, poor little guy!

He's obviously in the best place but you must feel awful, having to leave him there. All paws crossed for tomorrow, snakes are crossing their tails! x

My OH hates it when we have to leave one of our babies at the vets overnight. He asked me to say he will be thinking of you and Greebo tomorrow and to give Greebo a special fuss from him.

I most certainly will, thank you. xx

I just hope he's well enough tomorrow for them to operate and I can then get him home.

Haven't been on here for a while, but was a sad little lad he looks. Breaks my heart. What an awful life he's had, for him to end up in this state. Still, he's in the best place possible for a second chance in life. Give him a little stroke from me. Have you started bribing him with Dreamies yet? Always worth a try. Worked well on my two.

Can't quite bring myself to call him Greebo... We called the horrible kids at school Greebo (I know, we were kids...).

Keeping everything crossed for the poor lad, hopefully they'll be able to get cracking on him today and he'll soon be home x

I know what you mean, but the Greebo I know is a big, battle-scarred Tom cat, not as nice natured as he might be, but the apple of Nanny Og's eye. He also killed, and ate, a vampire - What's not to like?

Helen - hoping to hear some good news soon. Fingers still crossed.

Poor boy, whatever he's called, is still not right and they're waiting for results from blood tests to try and get to the bottom of it. It looks as though he'll be in there tonight as well, in the hope that they can operate tomorrow. :(

I'm popping in to see him later. He's gone all quiet and withdrawn again, though he did apparently eat a little this morning. I'm not sure if he knows me well enough to get any comfort from me as yet, but I'll take him some chicken just in case.

Oh no, this was not the news we were all waiting for - poor Fred/Greebo (and you too Helen :( )

It's such a shame for anything to set him back, even a fraction, but I appreciate that you have no choice. He needs to get sorted, poor boy  xx

Poor boy, they are still chasing blood test results so he won't be operated on today either. The antibiotics must be working, though, as he's much brighter and more responsive - much as I hate it I do know it's a good thing that they've waited. His fluid levels are good and unless the bloods show up something unexpected (at this stage they're just expecting it to confirm the infection) he's definitely good to go tomorrow.

All paws here crossed for him.
