Yes, I KNOW I'm not supposed to be taking in any more cats, but this one was bizarre!
I was out doing some garden work yesterday with hubby, and a van pulled up. A man got out and announced "I have a cat for you"! Apparently someone had told him there was a sanctuary at our house?! Since Avery few people know where I live, I cannot think who this person was and he couldn't/wouldn't tell me! The cat was in a disgustingly filthy trap, which I think was a fox trap rather than a cat trap as it was so heavy and strong. Turns out she is very friendly and seemingly very well cared for. The man came back to collect th trap and told my husband that she had been coming to his house and was being fed by a neighbour, but he has a big dog who has already killed two cats, and he was afraid the same would happen to her.
So my bathroom is occupied once again! I am afraid that someone may be looking for her though.... I have looked online, posted about her on Facebook, and will see if she is chipped next week. Of course, she could be a stray with nobody searching for her, and just looks good as the lady was feeding her.... She is a stunning tabby girl, very scared last night but is coming around after loads of fusses, which she absolutely loves..... Surely she has a home???
