Cat music, does it really work?

Hey guys,
So I was doing my regular youtube scroll before bed. (I'm a total sucker for rescue videos so I always tend to watch them before I sleep to give me good dreams) when I found this video crop up in my feed:

Cat music. 4 hours of it. Which lead me to think, does that ACTUALLY work? I listened to a few minutes of it and to me it simply sounds like garden centre music. Has anyone actually found that music soothes their cat?

I'm certain they do respond to music - I related on another thread how my cat George, the Beast of Bodmin lookalike, used to go mad if I whistled the serenade from Bizet's 'Fair Maid of Perth'. Only that tune, mind - it was a bit like that scene from 'Help!' where the Beatles had to sing Beethoven's Ode to Joy to the lion lol.
I had to laugh at the title of that vid though...music to help your cat sleep. Even my manic Molly spends most of her life asleep. One of the truest things I ever read about cats was, 'how come they don't get bedsores?'

Hi Mrs Kane. I also looked at the "music t help cats sleep" on YouTube and it looks amazing but I don't know where to purchase them. I looked on amazon but they didn't seem the same ones. So I put the classical music station on the radio and yes it certainly worked on Theo. He was sitting looking quite dazed then went to sleep. So now when we go out I leave it on in my bedroom and he sleeps on the bed. But id love to buy the one on YouTube that says it was ceated by scientists specially for cats. So if anyone knows where I can get them id love to hear

I must admit I did laugh when I scrolled down to the comments on that link though. Quite funny and does make me think "oh am I turning into a cranky cat woman". Lol

I have to agree with you there Lilith. If it's one thing a cat knows how to do, it's sleep. Perhaps this is designed for kittens? Or perhaps cats whose owners have problems with them in the night. They are nocturnal after all.
