What to get for the girl who has everything

Post by SarahT1 [PLLE] »

It's my Lou Lou's Gotcha Day on 2nd May and I really want to get her something special. She's such a precious girlie who was sitting in rescue at Battersea for ages because she was deemed too shy and too old (9 years young) until we came for her. But like us all on here, our cats are already spoiled rotten, and I'm at a loss to know what to get her to add further to her quality of life. Anyone bought anything new and different for their furbabes recently that's really hit the spot with them? Thank you! X

Hi Sarah.

What about one of the plug in heated beds like I got Dora for her birthday in February. She loves it and got straight in it as soon as we unwrapped it which was very unusual. I've also significantly reduced her Metacam intake in the last 2 months which may or may not be partly as a result of the bed?

Or what about towels or bowls with her name on? Dora has her own named bowls and placemats, and the towels are good quality and she loves her 'blankies'!

Thank you, ladies! We have Da Bird and Yeowww balls, pillows, fish and lemons! But we don't have a heated beddies/Flectabed. That's a good thought. Shelly - were did you get Dora's personalised bowls/blankets from? Of course, if I get them for Lou, I will have to get them for Pepsi and Edgar too!!

Hi Sarah

Our two favour Zebeddee catnip mice purchased from Amazon.

They keep their 'flavour' for ages and E&G pounce on them and flick them round the room for ages (oh, at least five minutes!) but I think it's worth a purchase!

Did LL like the catnip papers?

Hello Jan

Are the Zebbedee the little white papery looking mice? I've seen them but not got any yet. The cat nip papers generate around 30 seconds of interest! The thing she loves best is chasing a shoe lace, simple as that, and climbing up her tall scratch post. She is quite a lazy girl otherwise...

Hi Sarah.

The 'blankies' came off eBay from a company called towelsareus - all one word, and are £7.70 each. You can chose the colour of the towel, the colour of the embroidery and the size you would like, obviously as well as the name you would like. They are very good quality too and wash up really nice.

The bowls and placemats again are off eBay and cost £7.95 per bowl. Again you chose the name that's put on there for no extra cost. Its a company called atreatinstore2011 all one word. I ordered 5 of the bowls and when they arrived 1 was chipped and another was in bits. I emailed the seller with a picture and he sent me an email back saying he wanted no bad feeling and hoped I'd shop with him again and gave me a refund of the cost of ALL the bowls!!

I do agree though.... you can't buy something personalised for Lou Lou without doing the same for all three!

I'll try to post pictures but in fear of losing this reply will do pictures separately.

Xx

Oh these are cute, Shelly! I remember Dora getting them from Father Christmas I think? Lou Lou, Edgar and I are hiding from workmen at the moment on the green beddies and she keeps putting her paw out to hold my hand. She is such a precious baby, I think I might be able to get away with getting her something the others don't have!!

You are right Sarah. Father Kwissmas did indeed bring these for Dora last Kwissmas.

Lou Lou is such a cutie isn't she. Bless her. Glad Edgar is there to protect her too! Where's Pepsi?

Dora's nip beddies arrived at work today but I'm such a remiss mummy at the moment because my heads all over the place that I forgot to bring it home! I was so excited opening it too!

I was going to give it to her in her gotcha day (16th May) but now wondering if I've got time to get her 'playroom' sorted before that?

I'm still worried about bees and wasps - OCD! Any ideas anyone?

Ooh, I missed this last night.

 Pepsi wasn't phased by the drilling and banging, and just sat on her current favourite sofa in the lounge watching the activity. She looked mildly put out, but wasn't moving anywhere. After they'd gone she decided she wanted to go out to the garden, and although we don't usually let her do so at night time I went along with it as she'd been such a good girl!

I think Dora won't want to wait for her NIP beddies! Someone might let slip that it's arrived and then you'll have to hand it over anyway!!

I think the decision is in favour of a heated bed for Lou Lou, although I imagine there will be competition for it, but technically it will be her's!
