Tales of the unexpected cat...

On Crewella's thread about kittens I kind of hijacked it with a strange experience involving kittens; lots of people must have had this sort of happening around cats or any animal, which can't be rationalised, and Bobbys girl suggested we might have another thread concerning the odd and inexplicable.
I'll start off with not a ghost story but a dream story. At the age of 12/13 I had a horrible dream about my cat Saada, who was in awful danger. The following morning I found her badly injured after being run over. She recovered, thankfully, but after that I had some very odd and prophetic dreams and the most graphic dream was this:-
It was in the 70s; I had some adult cats and two adolescent kittens, Thomas and Khalil. One night I had an awful dream where Khalil was in danger and it was all my fault. Somehow I managed to rescue him - but where was Thomas? I heard him crying - and ran to him to find him at a great height, yelling his head off but safe.
The following morning I got up, let the cats out and opened the back gate for the binmen to come in (in those days before wheelybins) made breakfast and coffee and sat down with my then partner Adrian to tell him about my nightmare - when I was interrupted by an almighty commotion outside the back door.
I dashed out to find several dogs in the yard. One, an Alsatian (no slur meant on Alsatians btw; I owned one later myself) snatched Khalil off the windowsill and ran off with him in its jaws. I chased it, screaming - and it dropped him. I'd never seen these dogs before; didn't know they roamed the neighbourhood. I felt tremendously guilty though; it HAD been my fault, letting the cats out. Khalil was soaked in dog spit and very shocked but fortunately unhurt.
The other cats were fine - but Tom was missing. Then I heard him yelling. Next door was a huge lilac tree and - you've guessed it - there at the top was Thomas! He got down by himself.
Now how do you explain that? I mean, you can't.
Over to you guys
