Some really great news!!!!

Post by YogiBoy »

Hello!

An 'Overlooked 15' Update!
We had two bits of AMAZING news yesterday - thought I would share...
Not just one, but TWO more of the cats on our #Overlooked15 campaign have now found homes, after being seen on Cat Chat!

They are... (((drum roll...)))...
Macca from Tain Cats Protection (had been in rescue over 1 year) - now HOMED!
Star from Maesteg Animal Welfare Society (had been in rescue over 4 years!) - now HOMED!

As at today, 6 of the original 15 "Most Overlooked" cats have now been homed (Macca, Star, Titus, Billy, Daphne and Margot)
Sid and Muffett are now looking for homes separately, rather than together as originally thought.
That leaves 10 cats still "Overlooked" and desperately needing homes!!!

The Overlooked 15 topic is now updated, and instead of being an announcement at the top of each forum page, is now a 'sticky' post at the top of the Homes Needed section.

Homes are still needed for....
Sandy in Cobham, Surrey (Katz Castle Animal Shelter)
Olivia in Watford, Herts (National Animal Welfare Trust, Hertfordshire)
Frankie in Margate, Kent (TAG Pet Rescue)
Thomas in Doncaster, South Yorks (Knight Cat & Kitten Rescue)
Angel in Broadstairs, Kent (Thanet Cat Club)
Sid in Hastings, East Sussex (Celia Hammond Animal Trust Sanctuary)
Muffett in Hastings, East Sussex (Celia Hammond Animal Trust Sanctuary)
Lizzie Nr. Louth. Lincs. (Ark Animal Rescue)
Daisy in Ayrshire, Scotland (Cat Action Trust 1977, Ayrshire)
Fluffy & Spot in Hinckley, Leics. (Cats in Need)

If anyone can help with spreading the word about any of the remaining 10 cats still waiting for a home, (via Facebook / Twitter / other forums / Anywhere!!) PLEASE DO!!! All details here: http://www.catchat.org/overlooked15.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You have no idea how pleased I am that Star has been rehomed; she really got to me (probably because she looks a bit like my Harry).

So happy for her and Macca as well of course

Yippeee

And if Macca and Star's news wasn't enough good news for this week - just heard that Olivia - another of the Overlooked 15 - from National Animal Welfare Trust, Herts branch has also been homed!
