Mr Grey caught a robin

Post by Walesgang »

I don't like my gang catching birds. However, this is the first catch I have ever known him to make. He is a tad over weight and not that bright. I am slightly pleased and proud of him :)

It's always a bitter sweet moment isn't it? Lovely to see them doing what comes naturally but not so great for the bird population...

Thankfully so far I've only had the one dead bird in the garden; and a beautiful finch it was to :(

I've had lots and lots of mice being delivered though :(

We've had loads of mice and vole innards around the place. Better get vigilant with the workers I think :!:

Ps most are caught by Henry and Tips. I think Squeak hung up her hunting head when she came to live with us, and Grey really is generally a poor hunter

Oh I'm under no illusions that it's love ......... only Daz brings things home, and he just leaves the bits he doesn't want (like gall bladders ...... yum) or can't manage at the time (like half a bunny). He does leave me the odd shrew, whole, but I read the other day that shrews have an oil in their coat that is unpalatable to domestic cats. Apparently I'm only fit for his left-overs!
