Cat Harness

My 10 month old siamese cant be fully trusted out side on his own at the moment so has to go out on a harness and lead.

the problem we have is his current harness as well as getting a bit small, isn't really fit for purpose and when he pulls his front legs slip out and its all very stressful.

Does anyone have any experience of harnesses and can recommend where I can get one?

I'm looking for those ones that look a bit like a jumper?

Personally I'm not fond of harnesses at all; the worry if they do manage to escape from you there is just too much for them to get caught up in with horrendous consequences.

Could you cat proof your garden instead? Would that be an option?

As a matter of interest; what does your boy do when you say he can't be trusted?

Cat proofing would be quite difficult.

He has a healthy fear of cars but does get inquisitive when they are stopped at junctions and wants to get down to the road.

Plus he gets excited and chase birds and bees out to the road.

Those are probably the best harnesses I've ever seen (but still not overly fond of them ) but I'm really not liking the collars on that site as they're not safety collars

He has a safety collar which works well as he caught himself getting off the shed.

I looked at them walking jackets for my Siamese (who is too naive to be let out on his own) but went for keeping him in a cat run in the end. They do look the best type as far as harnesses go. Does he really need to be out? They are quite people orientated cats, mine is usually inside helping me, even though he can go into the cat run if he wants.

Most of the time when he's in he's all over us but he likes going outside.
