cat needs a home

my mother will soon be moving in to a care home where will i find a home for her cat
Where are you? If UK based then click on this link: http://www.catchat.org/adoption/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and find the cat rescues in your local area. The sooner you reach out to them the better the chance of the cat finding a new home.
However many rescues are so full, so it may take some time - is there a back up plan, ie could the cat stay with a family member until a rescue has space if needed?
