Cats in kennels.
Do you think cats should be put in a kennel at night?

Please explain what you mean. In what scenario would a cat need to be in a kennel?

Crated, I think. I never had to. I would think putting someone who are ment to be free, it would be a mind destroyer.

cats are NOT small dogs. i have never even heard of anyone contemplating putting a cat in a kennel/crate overnight. unless it is a feral cat to work on taming or administer medication. even then it is a necessary evil as stress raises cortisol levels which reduce immunity.

Re: Cats in kennels.
If the cat in question is healthy and is an integrated part of the family then absolutely no - why on earth would you?
When I got Ava and then Henry as kittens they were crated, but only for a week or so until the other cats were used to them and then that was it - they had the run of the house thereafter and the crate was packed away.
Who was thinking of doing that?
