Re: Cat life
I'm not too 'up' on dogs but I do believe cats live longer than dogs, on average. Some Pedigree cats have a shorter life expectancy, but I think most cats can reach their mid teens. My original family of 5 mogs lived to 17, 17, 18, 19 and 19 (matriarch Giddy almost made it to 20) and there are cats out there that have llived past 20.

Re: Cat life
In general, cats live longer than dogs. Muts and mogs GENERALLY live longer than pedigrees. Small dogs often live longer than bigger breeds.
My dog, Bonnie, a whippet/collie Lurcher, lived to 17 1/2! That is some age for a dog.
