Another microchip success story

Post by booktigger »

We had a stray cat reported recently who turned out to be chipped. Unfortunately the telephone number on the record was disconnected but fortunately we had a home visit nearby on sat so the volunteer posted a note through the letterbox, the owner rang tonight, he's been missing since October, she's over the moon to know where he is, he's quite a few miles from home. Love a happy ending.

There is a story today on Celia Hammond's Facebook page. A cat was living in a hole in a concrete pillar outside a block of flats (Grim). She was epileptic and in a real state. Residents had been feeding her, but one phoned CH. They took her to their vet, who scanned for a chip - she had been missing since November.

fantastic news for both cats - :D

And just goes to show that if you do have your pet microchipped how important it is to keep the contact details up to date

So pleased for all
