Hello and a brief introduction ... I'm Miranda. I'm a VN and have worked in animal welfare for over 30 years. One of my roles now is to work with a company called MDC Exports Ltd. I help to design and develop humane animal handling equipment (traps, baskets, gloves etc) and provide training and workshops on the correct use of this equipment to interested parties in the UK and abroad. MDC are very pleased to be sponsors of CatChat and hope that in some way, they/we can help with this terrific resource. I appreciate there are numerous very experienced cat rescuers/carers on this forum who have spent many more nights out trapping than me however, if you think I can be of any assistance on this topic (or animal handling in general), please do feel free to reach out. Hello and welcome. I'm a fosterer, so tend to get involved after the trapping process, but I'm sure your help will be needed at some point. My last foster was trapped and handed over still in the trap - it was only when I'd got him home and in the pen that I realised I had no idea how to let him out!!
