Brushing

Post by monster »

It's that time of year when we all have to think about brushing! My cat had a medium length coat, fortunately it does not tangle or mat, but she is now shedding and there is hair everywhere and it can't be good for her insides! However, she HATES being brushed. I started off with a normal brush and then moved onto the zoom groom, I know other cats seem to love it but I just get hissed and clawed at for using it.

Any tips for an angry, brush resistant cat? Any other brushes I could try - I was wondering about those mitts?

Daisy was the same, long hair, hated being groomed, but wasn't that brilliant at doing it herself. I used to get a few swipes in when she was eating, or in a particularly good mood, and bit by bit got it all done.

Yeah, I think it's going to have to be in small snatches and by stealth!
