Hello I am having to move out of my home and my new one will not be ready until late December. I can not afford to put my cat in a cattery for 8 weeks as we need to save for house deposit too.
Relatives can and friends have not been able to help and I really do not want to have to rehome her as my little girl will be devastated.
Really hope someone can help

I'm sorry to hear of your problem. On this forum you'll find a section 'Rescue and Rehoming' and a section on that called 'Find a rescue in your area' (I've tried to copy the link but my pc won't let me.)
At this time of year there are fewer kittens and the rescues, while still bursting at the seams in many cases, MAY have room to foster cats. I was lucky to find this out for myself in the spring when I was offered a foster home for my three, and they couldn't have been looked after better - these are experienced people and love cats.
Some shelters will make a standard charge, I believe; others ask you to pay what you can. The rescue who took my cats on only mentioned that as two of mine are elderly, it would be appreciated if vet bills could be covered for any ailments. I was lucky enough to be able to pay their way regarding food, litter, vet etc and then some extra, to contribute to the rescue. Please be aware that if your cat isn't vaccinated that may be a standard requirement along with a vet health-check, so there is that to pay for, and I realise money is tight with you at present, but even after paying expenses and a bit over for the rescue, if you can, this will still work out nowhere near as expensive as a cattery.
