Window Screens Advice

Post by monster »

I'm about to move toa new flat with sash windows which open at the bottom half, one of which leads out on to a rickety balcony and main road, the other to high drop down to the basement level, so I was looking at getting some screens for them to keep the cat safe.

I have found a few options online. Has anyone got any experience or recommendations? E.G.

http://www.portascreen.co.uk/index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.catscreenqueen.co.uk/Catscreen_Queen.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.happywindow.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.phantom-fly-screens.co.uk/fl ... ndows.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm interested in screens for normal windows too, so thoughts on those also welcome, but the sashes are my priority at the moment.

I've got these screens for my upstairs bedroom windows, although they're not sash windows, I believe these fit most windows: http://www.flat-cats.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; the guy is really helpful, I dropped him an email with a couple of questions prior to ordering and he came straight back to me. I went for the standard size and modified them slightly to fit but they will custom make as well. I like these because I can take them off in the winter, they're also pretty strong and can take the pressure of a cat leaning against them, the velcro is strong enough for even the most determined paw! Hope this helps!
