Re: New Addition
Gina is a rescue cat and she is just over 2 years old. She is pale ginger and white.
We had been thinking about getting another cat as a playmate for our 1 year old, Monster.
The criteria was a young cat who wasn't dominant and who was approximately the same size as Monster. Luckily Gina fit this bill, when we first saw her she was quite talkative and I was really taken with her colour. We met her 2 weeks later and she came to us straight away.
Her history is that she was removed from her owner along with numerous other cats (and maybe other animals). I don't know the details of the case but I think it was more to do with the owner having too many animals to cope with. Although, she is nervous and cowers at raised voices as if expecting to be hit. Trying to comfort her in this state only makes her more anxious when you touch her. But generally she is well behaved and VERY SWEET.
The introductions to our other 3 cats have gone surprisingly well. Tat 18, Pud 18 and Monster 1yr, all neutered females.
In just a week they are all mixing throughout the whole house which I am really surprised about. There has been very little hissing, growling and no fighting. We are using 2 feliway diffusers.
Now we are just hoping that Gina and Monster will become friends and playmates.

Re: New Addition
She is indeed gorgeous and you've done a great job integrating her! I'm sure as she gets more familiar with her new home she and Monster will start playing together - he is certainly young enough to want some chasey fun (which I imagine the 18 year olds are loathe to provide) and she is young enough to enjoy it!
Wonderful news, thanks for sharing how well things are going!
