I read about it on the BBC site and part of me does wonder if it is a bit of a white wash as the investigations were taking money they wanted to spend on other things. Some no doubt are foxes and RTAs, but some of the tales (no pun intended) didn't sound like they could be anything but a human culprit.
Unfortunately we will probably never know unless in the future a serial killer is caught that admits to killing cats prior to moving on to humans.

.... and the earth is flat and the moon made of cheese. What they actually mean is we can't be axxxd to do anything about a bunch of cats. We have far more important things to do, like paint our nails and attend 'awareness ' courses.
