I am new to the site. New and old.
I am a older woman living with nine cats and a large dog. I joke he is our protection.
The cats love him, he isn't so sure about them. They out number him and they speak weird. They want to play a cat hanging on fur game. Too much nails :o
My cats names are Meuzette, Ray, Willie, Speedy, Mittens, Caz, Lucky Charms, Peanut and Cowboy. The dog is Renegade.
I mostly just want to talk cats and make friends along the way. Nothing too creepy :)

Welcome Peanuts Friend. This (if our old forum is anything to go by) is a great place to be!

Most of us are regulars who feel we know each other and each other's cats. We look forward to getting to know you and your kitties.

Lovely cat in your profile picture BTW. Which one is that :!:

Hello! I'm new too, and new to cats in general... Well, new to one cat. Got adopted by a big lad called Smaug, who rules his Kingdom from under a bed at the moment, but gets very bold in the evenings.

Btw, eight of my cats are rescues. I had to put a cap on nine. I wish I could save them all out there that need a home.

I found this picture when looking for pictures of the cats to post.
Sure I am embarassed of the mess. It is all cat toys.
Thought you would have fun trying to find the kitten in there. Yes one brown tabby kitten is sitting there looking at the camera.
That is Cowboy. My youngest.

I agree with you Jill! When my mum was alive, she always said her dream would be to have a big house and garden to take in all the waifs and strays that needed a home! We had to stop at 5 after Mischa decided to stay with us after having her kittens (she was a neighbours cat at the time!).

Some great pictures too!

I agree you, hgale. You have to stop gathering stray cats. Finances is a good reason......the cats at home can't be put into danger by gathering up a few more. This time of year is the toughest over here. It is kitten time.....

History on Lucky is I adopted him with two of his other brothers.
Three kittens, we resighted the three little kitten book . They all still come when you start it. They are seven this year
Mitten and Caz are Luckys' brothers as soon as I find the pictures

one more of Caz.
Both Caz and Mittens have the extra toes.
Their mother died soon after I adopted these guys. She didn't like being a inside cat.

Don't worry Jill, I haven't got any cats at present! The 5 cats (plus 3 kittens) were when Mischa, a neighbours cat at the time, decided to have her first litter of kits with us, rather than at her house! Sadly, all of them are now happy at Rainbow Bridge, Mischa was the last one who died 5 weeks ago at 18 and a half years old.

I'm still not sure if I will be getting another one, as you say, they are expensive and also, I think there is a limit as to the number of times a heart can be broken.

Everytime someone dies, it is a killer. But they fill your heart while they are here. They are good company.
You are still in pain, 5 weeks is so soon. Poor you.
I have had fifteen cats in my life and several dogs and a horse. They are like losing a relative. The pain is the same as when I lost my Brother two years ago.

This is my house everyday. Somedays there are more cats doing this and running over our heads. The dog and I sit on the couch dodging nails

Wonderful pics, Jill. I went searching for them after reading your posts with Lyn this morning. So Meuzette is the oldest? I had assumed it was Ray. They are both beautiful girls. Pepsi will be in touch with Meuzette I am sure!

Kitty, you could tell you OH that the best time to get Comet a play mate is right now whilst he's young enough to accept them easily and accommodate them into his family and routines. And that wouldn't be a lie either!!

Oh yeah? Great. Glad you looked us up. Feel there more than just me here, if you know what I mean.
I been Meuzettes person so long, I can post younger pics. People see what she really looks like it too scarey. She looks like a dead cat walking.
Meuzette will be glad to hear from Pepsi too.

Meriad and Sarah are right.
Mine have fun and excercise, not all get along.
I rather have many than one.
The house comes alive with all the activity.
Nine is too many yet not since its just me...what does it matter. I had only three for the longest time. Nice home. Litter problem sure, three litter pans to clean everyday.

I am sure Meuzette is still lovely. My friend's girl went to RB this month. She was 22, all fur and bone, so frail, but she was still beautiful. She just passed in their garden, lay down and went to RB. Enjoy the Bridge, sweet girl. Your mummy cried for you today.
