Advice needed for new-born kittens

We had been caring for a cat who showed up at our backdoor as a kitten on an outside basis for some 8 months. Very socialized to us. Couldn't afford to get her fixed, (now will later). She got pregnant, of course, and delivered 5 healthy looking kittens 3 days ago. However, weather became unusually cold and continually rained. She was soaked and so we moved her and the kittens to a box with blankets to our sun porch. She took to the litter box right off that we put beside her. So, now my question is do we simply keep them all there til they're weaned as to return them outside would, of course, expose them to periodic rain and storms? Thanks.

Thank you for taking them in out of the rain and giving the Mom and kittens somewhere warm and dry. Please do keep them all inside if at all possible, unless the mother really gets upset and stressed at being confined, if she does is there any way she could have free access to outside while the kittens remain inside. I would also suggest if the mom cat is happy with it you try and handle the kittens a little, stroke them, and pick them up gently as it will get them used to being handled by a human. I would also suggest you try and contact any rescue centres in your local area, they can possibly help with the cost of spaying the mother and spaying or neutering all the kittens as well, you don't want any of the female kittens to start bringing you litters in 6 month's time. They might also be willing to help find homes for the kittens unless you intend keeping them all.

If you really love to raise all the kittens to be wonderful cats, well-trained and well-balance cat, you need to have a checklist or a basic guidelines on how to do it.You really need to have a guidance since there are lots of factors to consider in norturing a kitten to be a wel-balanced cat at his maturity..you can find an ebook on this matter..good luck
