Endoscopy for gastric tumour

Hi, has anyone had to have an endoscopy on their cat to check for a gastric tumour or any other digestive problem? My cat is not eating much and has been sick with blood (once) and an endoscopy has been suggested. Just wondered about other people's experiences, if they had any other tests done, what was the outcome/treatment. Any information appreciated.
