Posting Images.

Post by Grace56 »

I don't think this is the right forum for posting this, but I don't know where else to ask.

I don't seem to be able to post images. I have tried the 'Upload Attachment' facility but my image doesn't upload successfully.

What are the sizes allowed?

Please can someone help. :|

Thanks folks.

I think 40k is the max size. if you have a hi-res camera, even this size will appear rather small.

What I try to do is take a lower res picture, open it up in Paint, click on resize and type in 400 after selecting the pixels radio button. crop any unnecessary bits out and save, seeing if it is < 40K.

Here's one I've just done:

Here's another test with a larger picture. It seems you can post > 40k now.

Click on the Browse button next to Filename under Upload attachment, and then 'add the file'.

Hi Grace,
I had this problem and Carol kindly sent me this link
http://www.picresize.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
You can crop pictures and save them (at 256kib) to your downloads, then upload to your CC post. Works for me!
Good luck

Thank you everyone. I 'think' I have it sorted now. I've posted a photo of Dave and managed to use a photo, as my icon, of my late, much loved Oscar who died of renal failure in 2012 aged about 7.

By the way, your fur babies are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing. :)

Glad you got it sorted. Oscar was a lovely boy. I know a mummy should not have favourites, but my black fur babies are mine. (shh don't tell the others!)

What a lovely boy Oscar was. I too love black furbabies. I lost my Harvey last October to cancer and everytime I see a black furbaby my heart melts.

My lovely tortie Fluffy has kidney disease. She is 14yrs now. Your boy was so young. Harvey was about 6yrs old. So sad to loose them when they're in their prime.

I'm so glad you got your pics sorted.
