Ban the Killing of Feral Cats in Ireland

Post by Jane » Sun May 11, 2014 5:58 pm

In Ireland, pest control companies regularly trap feral cats and kill them - a practice that must be stopped immediately. Please sign the petition:

I recently lost my beautiful cat Lucky due to careless drivers on the road. She was only 4 years old. Cats are wonderful when treated with love and respect. When you look after them they look after you. They are the miniature version of the big cats with all the same instincts. They are super intelligent, dignified and clean. How anyone could kill these beautiful creatures is beyond belief.

Signed! Here in NI a local charity supports a TNR scheme. A non cat loving friend helps feed the cats - she lives within yards of a farmyard, river bank and empty hotel and would rather have cats than rats!!!

Ireland's track record on animal welfare is not a good one - our few animal charities are over run. Dogs are often sent to UK for re-homing.
