He's gone

I found Backy dead this morning. He's been getting thinner for the last few months, but has only been very ill for the last week. So now we have no cats. We'd had Backy and Twitch for 18 and 16 years. The place will seem empty now. I hope they visit me in my dreams.

So sorry to hear - no matter how you realise, intellectually, that it's time, it's still a shock. At least he was able to go in his own bed, his own home, without vet intervention.

That's awful Kay - I'm glad Backy passed away before I had to do that. But it's for the best - I think Backy will appreciate the company.

So sorry to hear this, but at least it was peaceful and natural, in the comfort of his own home. But it’s still a big shock to find them, and they leave such a big hold on our lives when they go. RIP little one

I've been having to deal with some teenage anti-social behaviour at work. This morning I knew I'd have to deal with it all over again today. I looked for Backy to cheer me up, but he just wasn't there.
