He's gone

Post by exlibris » Wed Aug 21, 2019 6:33 am

I found Backy dead this morning. He's been getting thinner for the last few months, but has only been very ill for the last week. So now we have no cats. We'd had Backy and Twitch for 18 and 16 years. The place will seem empty now. I hope they visit me in my dreams.

I am so sorry - you knew he would not be with you for much longer, but it is still a shock.

So sorry to hear - no matter how you realise, intellectually, that it's time, it's still a shock. At least he was able to go in his own bed, his own home, without vet intervention.

Yes, Backy and Twitch will still be around. But the emptiness is awful. Take care of yourself, love and hugs, Lil x

Deep in my own grief as I am, I feel your pain. All love and light to you and Backy, be kind to yourself in the difficult times ahead.

I'm so sorry to hear this, so much harder when it is sudden, even though you were kind of expecting it. RIP little one

That's awful Kay - I'm glad Backy passed away before I had to do that. But it's for the best - I think Backy will appreciate the company.

So sorry to hear this, but at least it was peaceful and natural, in the comfort of his own home. But it’s still a big shock to find them, and they leave such a big hold on our lives when they go. RIP little one

Very sad to read of your losses, exlibris and Kay. It is never easy, whether their departure is expected or not. Sleep well Backy and Tiffany.

I've been having to deal with some teenage anti-social behaviour at work. This morning I knew I'd have to deal with it all over again today. I looked for Backy to cheer me up, but he just wasn't there. :(

Exlibris & Kay please accept my delay in posting my deepest sympathies on the loss of Backy & Tiffany. Losses are so heart breaking & heart wrenching. My thoughts are with you both as you grieve for your fur babes. Vivian
