How to become a homechecker

Can anyone advise? I would like to train as a Home checker for cats in my local area. I don't want to be tied to any particular rescue organisation... how do I go about it? Thanks for any help!!

To be honest, I'm not sure how feasible it is if you don't want to be tied to a particular charity, you need to be linked to somewhere to be needed. I'd personally start with one and gain some experience before approaching others
