I along with several of my friends are in the process of trapping and rescuing a number of cats from one person's garden in Coventry. So far 11 kittens between 4 and 10 wks have been removed, a new mum with 5 babies (now 2 wks old and thriving), 2 pregnant females who have already had numerous litters between them, 3 ginger toms and a tabby tom. The kittens, mums and 2 of the gingers are in the process of being re-homed with the help of Cats Protection and a network of known cat lovers. The remaining ginger semi-long haired male and tabby male are not very approachable. We also have yet to trap a ginger/white male, a tabby/white male, a semi long haired tabby female, a black/white male and a tabby female. Once again, all but the tabby DSH (which has a pre-approved home) are semi-feral and along with the 2 already trapped need a safer environment, such as a farm or small holding where they can live out their days free to roam and catch what they can. All have been/will be neutered through Cats Protection. Unfortunately, we have not been able to get any assistance through the other local cat/pet charities and we really do not want to let them loose back in the area from which they have come as to put it mildly, it's a hellhole. I have tried numerous groups on Facebook and tried a few local farmers to no avail. Does anyone know of any farmers or any contacts (other than the local charities) that we could approach. We really appreciate any advice/assistance. Thank you in advance
