Stray cat for 9 years…

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I’m just a local scanner and chip implanter. I was asked to scan a cat that had turned up 3 weeks ago, very sun bleached neutered male-no chip, hasn’t left the garden to be able to paper collar.
When I turned up there was a female cat at the doorstep, the lady told me it’s not hers (no chip) and they’ve just fed it for 9 years
they were moving yesterday and leaving both cats there and I’m desperately trying to find a rescue space for both of them to no avail
