Long term care for two cats

This is the first time I have used this forum and I would be very grateful for relevant advice anyone can give me regarding the following.

We have an elderly friend who has recently been admitted to a nursing home in the Edinburgh area. She has two much-loved cats, aged 15 and 13, who need long term care and she is very concerned about their future welfare. She wants to evaluate any suitable alternatives there may be. Can anyone recommend or provide opinions on possible preferred options?

I've not had personal experience of them, but I believe the Cinnamon Trust can help in situations like this. It's worth giving them a call, as they might also have further suggestions:
