Poor Harriet has been waiting since September for a home, could anyone offer her one?

Sadly not, and she has just had a bout of cystitis, suspected to be stress related :(

She is - she's had a couple of people view her but they couldn't see past her timidness

Such a shame, as it's so rewarding when they come round and the timid ones usually seem to form strong bonds when they do. I hope her 'prince' comes soon. xx

While I was at the vet last night with Lucy, the vet told me about a client who has just lost her 20 year old cat, and is looking for one between the age of 1 and 2, so she is going to give her my number today, to see if she will consider Harriet – it’s a retired person, which is what she needs. Fingers crossed!!

Harriet finally has a home, after nearly 6 months of waiting - they rang on Tue, viewed Wed, and she's going tonight, funny how it has all gone rather quickly with how long she has been waiting!!

Hi Booktigger so nice to read that Harriet has a family to love her. Hope they give her heaps of fusses. Needed something good to give me a feeling of hope that all will be fine & leave things to the universe. Feeling a tad low ATM - about to give up work & while I was hoping to last to end of April or early May, think this month'll do it. On the bus this morning all I wanted to do was come home to my three puss-kateers & spend the day with them. TC's picked up on my lowness & so has Harper in a small way. She comes in to see me around 12:30am touches my face, walks over me, finds a place to prop & then starts kneading & purring. Funny little fur babes they are. Snow Girl appears not to be too concerned about my mood. Vivian

Yay! Congrats Harriet! :D

Aww Mayday, hope you feel better soon - it's a big 'life-change' as the jargon has it. A lot to deal with. Even a good life-change can leave you feeling as if the carpet's been whipped from under your feet. I once moved from a house and neighbourhood I'd HATED to somewhere much better - and was homesick!

Yeah my Emily picks up on any mood change I have; when I'm sad she wraps herself round my legs and bawls at me; when I'm busy, even though she's been deeply asleep, she wakes up and wraps herself round etc etc. It's nice that she's in tune with me but not always practical lol - I end up having to sit down with a big affectionate ginger furry and have cuddles

With all very best wishes for the future - the Puss-kateers will be overjoyed to have you home all the time x

Spoke to Harriet's new owners yesterday, she was like a ghost cat initially, she found a hiding place that they couldn't figure out, but the food was going down and the litter tray was filling up! She hides there more than she does here, but they have found her sleeping on the landing the last couple of days, and she even peeped in their bedroom yesterday!

Ah. Food going down, litter tray filling up - think Harriet's got the hang of it - good lass, wish her many happy years ahead in her good new home and good on the understanding owners too :D
