Cat needs home

Post by Prishaan »

Hi Guys,
I am new here. I need your advice. I found a cat couple of months ago or you can say that she found me. she has no owner. every morning she comes to me. I feed her, she sleeps on my varanda in front of my house and in the evening she goes away.she is actually a very behaved cat and looks also gorgeous. But unfortunately, I found from yesterday she is started coughing and looks ill. Actually, I also own a male cat that's I could not give her a shelter. I am sad and confused, I do not know how can I help this poor cat. Is there anyone who can help this cat. it would be highly appreciated if anyone gives me some advice to help the poor stray cat.I'm really sad  and confused! please help me out.

Hi Prishaan and welcome :)

Good on you for caring for this cat and I'm sorry to hear that she's poorly. Are you in the UK, as Cats' Protection might be able to help and, depending on your income, the PDSA provides free treatment if you can get her to one of their clinics ... not sure if they'd treat a stray being cared for by someone earning though. There's also the RSPCA but the quality of care and response does vary from branch to branch.

There's a list of shelters/useful contacts in the UK here - https://www.catchat.org/index.php/cat-r ... uk-ireland

If you're in another country it could be a good idea to google animal charities locally; there are some good ones nowadays.

All the very best with her and to your resident cat as well - please let us know how you go on :)

Hi Prishaan, it’s good that you’re looking out for this cat. Just a thought... it may also be worth checking out the “Found Cat” advice before attempting rehoming her, especially if she’s friendly, and isn’t with you all the time, just in case she’s strayed too far and got lost, or even lives locally, or like my current who left her previous home! I thought she was a stray, but popped her along to my vets to check for a chip and found out she was chipped to a family just down the round from me, but had been missing 6 months! She ended up staying with us in the end, but that’s another story!.

Here is the link to the Found Cat advice:

Best of luck!
