Trying to rehome my fathers cat

My father, who is now 90, started looking after "Tibs" about 8 years ago. We think that one of his neighbours moved and just abandoned her. Since then he has fed her daily but now, due to his health deteriorating, she is not being fed regularly. She is a beautiful cat, very very friendly, but my dad now feels unable to look after her and has asked me to find her a new home. I would take her myself but my cat is 21 years old now and I don't think he would take to kindly to another cat moving in. I have tried Cats Protection and the RSPCA, but have had no luck. Can anyone give me any advice?

have you tried asking neighbours if they would be willing to help with feeding and basic care? I would be happy to help if I were asked - or perhaps a reliable teenager might be willing for a bit of pocket money

having someone pop in a couple of times a day would surely have the added bonus of keeping an eye on your dad too
