Hi guys, we found a feral kitten in our backyard that was in a bad condition, and apparently the mother abondoned her. We decided to care for it and help it survive. we also opened a youtube channel to share it's survival journey. however, the kitten died 2 days ago which was a vey sad moment for us. The same day she died, the mother brought 5 more kittens, and one of them has infected eyes. we are currently trying to cure it and we are taking care of the other kittens. The kittens are so adorable and love to be around humans. We decied to keep the youtube channel and post videos of the kittens to inspire others to care for feral vats as well. Please guys support us by subscribing to our channel, and enjoy watching the videos. we will be uploading more videos loaded with cutness.

Well done for taking these kittens in and helping to raise awareness around feral cats.
Please make sure that they are neutered as soon as they can be so that they don't end up in the same situation as their mother.

Thank you Angela. Do you have any idea when we can neuter them like at what age?

Depends on the vet, and they really should see one for the eye infection. Mum also needs neutering

According to another forum I used to be on that had a lot of breeders, you can get them early neutered by 3 months but as far as I know that's considered a little risky because they are so small. Some say after a girl's first season, some think around 6 months. Obviously with boys the testicles have to be there which they should be by 6 months.

There isn't an increased risk with early neutering, my vet does them at 9 weeks for charities, when I was in charge of homing we must have had over 100 kittens neutered that age with no side effects, and only one boy who only had one testicle descended. Before the first season is preferable, as it eliminates the risk of mammary cancer later in life, each season increases it. They actually bounce back quicker at 9 weeks than 6 months, we kept them for 48 hours after to check for side effects before homing, and most people couldn't even tell they had been neutered, the fur had already started growing back
