Stray cat

Post by CherylMurdoch »

Hi,

I’ve been told you may be able to help from the Westgate cat ark in Newcastle. There is a stray living in my street which I feed and would love to adopt however I already have two indoor cats. I have been trying to capture the cat to bring to a shelter as I worry about the cold however have been unable to do so with my own cat box. Is there a shelter who are also able to help catch the cat? I feed / see it at least once a day and it is friendly however not happy about being caught.

It would be a fantastic cat for anyone and I am moving in the new year so would really appreciate any help so I know it’s ok once I’m not around to feed it.

Thanks

Cheryl

Hello

Thank you for caring so much for this cat. I suspect that Westgate Ark could have suggested CatChat as we have a comprehensive list of rescues across the country; you can find ones in your area: https://www.catchat.org/index.php/cat-r ... uk-ireland, we would advise contacting as many as you can to see if they could help you or lend a trap so that the cat can be chip checked.

If there is a chance that the cat could be lost there is information that you may not have already seen on Cat Chat’s Lost & Found advice page: https://www.catchat.org/index.php/cat-m ... ound#found
Also, see the latest Lost Cat reports (from PetsReunited.com) here: https://www.catchat.org/index.php/lost-found-cats
