Lavender lives in Fairfields, High St., Tarring, in Worthing, and was last seen at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday 16th August.
Lavender is a medium-sized, calico grey with some orange and white. She has a white chest and white nose and muzzle.
Lavender has a white tip on the end of her tail, a distinctive grey flash on her face, and a grey 'beard'. She is very friendly.
Please check shed/greenhouse/etc. Lavender is chipped and spayed.
A couple of photos of her are attached - one recent one showing her reclining, and another when she was a bit younger, showing markings more clearly.
(She went missing before in March 2013, but was found after a week thanks to posts to various web sites!)

Re: Worthing - calico grey with orange and white - "Lavender
I do hope you find her
just one tip though - the usual UK description for a cat with her colouring is tortoiseshell, and I would suggest you use that description if you put out any posters and leaflets
calico is the US term

Just writing to announce that Lavender was found over the weekend and is now safely home.
And thanks your advice, Kay. We took it into account when spreading the news further!

Re: Worthing - calico grey with orange and white (Found)
So glad you found her! Actually calico is an appropriate term in the UK as well, although not everyone knows what it means, so quite right to include the word 'tortoiseshell'. As I understand it calico indicates that the PRIMARY colour is white, with coloured patches in both red and black (so all three colours) and these can be in a tortoiseshell pattern. I have a calico with a tortoiseshell tail, a pure red blotch above the tail, a red and black mask and ears, two large black spots on her back and red blotches on two legs. The effect is a little different from a traditional tortoiseshell! The black spots on her back are true black - not even the faint brownish tinge in sunlight that my tuxedo black cats show.
Your girl is half white and half tortoiseshell although some of the coloured patches are more defined than a typical tortoiseshell so I would say tortoiseshell and white/calico is the best description...
I just find this fascinating!

Forgot to say thank you for this informative post. And to update that she has again been her adventurous self, having gone on a wander on Christmas Day! but she returned yesterday after another round of calling, posters and leaflets - a little stiff, but now safe and sound
.
Take care.

Take care.
