Lost tortoiseshell - West Didsbury, Manchester

My cat Marley has been missing since 9pm Thursday April 3rd. She doesn't normally leave the communal flat gardens and this disappearance is very out of character, hence my concern. I have contacted all local vets and the local council.

She is quite a small cat but is quite well built - she is usually very vocal but can be wary of humans she doesn't know. She was wearing a black and silver collar with a pink ID tag and she is microchipped.

If anyone lives locally to me (Burton Rd / Withington Hospital area) then please check your gardens and outdoor sheds, garages and cellars.

Thanks

Helen

What an adorable girl! I'm sure you've read all the help ideas on the forum but I'd strongly advise you to be out looking for her whenever you can, especially after dark when it's quiet and as the morning is just breaking. She is likely to be hiding up not far from where she escaped but scared - she will need it to be you calling for her.

This website (and the links) is very good in terms of where to search and how:

It also points out the probability that she is closer than you think.

I would suggest you need to be out looking for her, asking to look in the gardens or sheds of houses 5 -10 doors from yours in each direction. Searching by calling is particularly effective at night when it’s quiet and call for her around the neighbourhood where she was last seen. Stay in one spot for a little while, then move on, so that if she hears you and sees you she might be brave enough to come out and follow you home.

I do hope you find her.
