What a lovely handsome boy he was, so much like my much missed Mo. I hate the clearing things away stage. :-( I still haven't put Lily's last bowl of water away yet....

What a gorgeous boy!! That picture sums up exactly why I adore black cats. What a perfect way to remember him by.

Thinking of you Julia, Anna and Mark as you all go through this horrible time of grieving and sorting their lovely things out. It has always helped me to do it in stages and over time and then it isn't so drastic Xx

when I lost my most beloved Tum Tum many years ago, I left her favourite bed on the hearth by the stove for months - it was both a memorial and an undertaking that eventually another cat would sleep there

Another emotional day as I went and collected Hector's ashes this morning. The paw print the crematorium did is lovely and looks just how I wanted it to in the frame alongside his picture. I had two cards through from my own vet and Fitzpatricks, they'd written such lovely words they made me cry again!! That's the last of the heart wrenching things done now just have to concentrate on healing myself.

A last thank you for all your support in what has been a truly dreadful month or so, the final stages were such a shock and it all happened so quickly it left me reeling, your support and kind words when I needed them were such a comfort.

((hug)) hopefully now that Hector is back home you can try and put these past few horrid weeks behind you. And hopefully you'll soon be able to remember your boy with a smile in your heart and not tears in your eyes. x

I'm glad you have Hector home where he belongs, I don't know why but it's always been a comfort to me to know they're still with me in some way. The paw print sounds lovely - it symbolises the paw print he left on your heart.

I've been busy working this week, but I've thought of you every day and really felt for you (and for Anna and Mark - it's been such a tough time on the forum recently). The worst is over now, but you do need to take care of yourself and allow the healing process to begin. You move on, but you never forget. And I'm sure you wouldn't want to.

(((hugs)))

The paw print is a nice idea.

I collected Laz's ashes this morning, so we all have them back. So much happened in the last couple of weeks :(
