Happy St Patrick's Day!

I don't have a drop of Irish blood in me, but the Pogues always manage to put a smile on my face! :D

Lol they're brilliant aren't they :D

I'm Pagan myself but always celebrate St Pat's - and so do the snakes because it's all a myth about him expelling them from Ireland...jusssssssst as well!

Got to do some snake feeding today (eww raw rat!) but fried fish for me and tuna for tea for the cats :D

Happy St Patrick's Day! Living where we do we used to go down to town and join in the festivities. But these days it just seems to be an excuse to get Rxx-xxxxd!

So today I cleaned house, concreted in a new washing-line post and papered over the newly repaired wall (damp!) in the bedroom, and YES I am feeling very smug! (and knackered) :D

Blimey, you've done more than me today - all I've done is routine cat work and snake work - although I was very glad to see my 7' gopher snake, Ziska, who has been lovelorn this past 6 weeks and off her grub, take her rat...you can't neuter snakes!

Here's a really beaut track to get you in the mood - if you aren't in it already!

We have been busy putting our cats' heads in JibJab films - there is a St. Patrick's day one :)

PS - When I had my B&B, Jem Finer stayed with his wife and 2 daughters.

I will have to google jibjab...not very computer literate lol.

Hey that's cool about Jem Finer. Pity they had to split up, they were a great group! :)

I saw the Pogues at Brixton Academy on St Patrick's Day many years ago ..... a great night out! :D

I had a look at JibJab - lookslike fun! :D

Well done Ziska - I clearly remember the days of heating up frozen mice/rats and jiggling them about in an attempt to make them look tempting, live and frisky!

Lol - the sweetest sight in the world isn't it, to see that smile on a snake's face as it scarfs down its grub?

For non-snakey people, the snake's jaw and throat expand when they're feeding - they really do look as if they're smiling...they probably are ... :)

Hangovers anybody? No, me neither - for a miracle!

But Molly who joined us 3 years ago, rowdy little ginger wildie, gorged on tuna, despite supervision, and puked up a couple of hours ago. On the new rug.

Why oh why, in every household, wherever you put it, is the new rug selected as victim?

Then she came and lay on my lap and purred, and, without thinking, I stroked her poor stomach, and she purred even louder...

Nothing out of the ordinary you might say. BUT - this is THE FIRST TIME, IN THREE YEARS, THAT SHE'S LET ME STROKE HER STOMACH!

Must be another miracle from St Pat! :D
