Body language - New kid on the block.

Post by bobbys girl »

We have a new stray. When he/she first showed up a couple of weeks ago, I thought it was Felix making one of his regular visits.

I've seen him/her several times over the last few days, getting more bold every day, strolling around the garden like he/she owns it. Tom and Grace (oddly enough) seem OK with 'it'. But Purdy is having problems.

Yesterday Gracie trotted around the shed in the woods looking over her shoulder as if she was being followed. This has happened a few times since the cat showed up. Reminded of a song from way back when, he/she now has a name - Moonshadow (I'm being followed by a moon shadow, moon shadow, moonshadow) or Shadow for short. :D

Any hoo, this morning Shadow came face to face with Felix, just look at the body language - you could write a book, Felix is the one with the nick in his ear.

I'm trying to post a video. Having some problems as Tom is on my knee at the moment and I can't reach the keyboard properly. That's my excuse. :D

Sorry it's out of sync. Don't know how that happened - but I think you get the idea!

Lol - I know what my ex would say if this was me.

'Cats always KNOW don't they?'

Blimey, you're going to have a job telling those two apart! They look like mirror images! Worse than when I had my 3 gingers, as Molly's half the size of what Finn was, and Emily has white paws and nose.

I'd hazard a guess and say Shadow looks like a neuter to me; he/she hasn't got that dreadful scrawniness of the stray entire, even one hunting and cadging its grub off the tender-hearted...lol, where would we be without them though? :D

He does look as though he's been doing quite well for himself, doesn't he (or she)! Fine looking cat.

For the record, you've posted the pic of your lot 'rubbernecking' out the window twice! :D

Yeh, I know - don't know what happened there. :? I did have Tommy parked on my knee and could hardly reach the keyboard (and he kept padding with those daggers of his)

I'll try and download the vid. Nothing much happens then all hell breaks loose.

Not seen either of them today.

Half my posts are typed in spite of the best efforts of the gang as well! I only mentioned it in case we were missing out on a pic! ;)

I'm sure they'll be back.
