Big, Black Cat....possible stray. Norwich NR2

Lately, a big, black cat has been hanging around the back of my house. Every time I go to put food out for foxes, hedgehogs etc, this cat is on the food immediately. He seems to have sussed what time I go out to put the food down.

He may NOT be a stray at all. But I would be happier to know one way or another. He is very possibly a Tom as he is quite large with a thick neck and rolls of fat on his shoulders. He is sleek and looks well fed. He is all black with possible a small locket of white hair on his chest. He seems friendly and confident.
