Good news about the weight gain. :) I'm glad she is continuing to improve.

Thanks for the heads-up about Lidl's Coshida. Something ELSE to look out for!

Not sure if this is the right time for an update after the news today. Kylie has actually been upstairs looking for food twice in the last 2 days. We had a bump in the road where the liquid poos returned over the weekend, but she has bounced back. She had her bloods and B12 done yesterday, but true to form, the vet hasn't phoned back with the results. She is up to 2.96kg and I detect a swagger in her step. I even caught her eating Some of Dom's dry food last night, which happened to have some of Laz's fibre response mixed in - hence her big poo today. I am seeing little glimpses of the old Kylie and keeping fingers crossed.

Thanks everyone :)

Taken this morning. Definitely brighter as she is looking quite peeved at having a camera in her face :)

She is a bit embarrassed about her shaved patches.

Thanks everyone. She is definitely brighter :)

I got my Zooplus delivery today. I took a chance and ordered a small bag of RC Hairball food as it contains Psyllium. I didn't think she would touch it, but she is eating it - apart from the few fibre response biscuits she ate yesterday, she hadn't touched any dry for ages - hopefully it will help her weight.

Also Zooplus had 4 tubes of multivitamin paste for 130 points, so I got that - again, thinking she wouldn't touch it. She went crazy for it and I had to stop after she had eaten early 1/4 of a tube :) (and it s 39% fat!)

She has been washing for the last 10 minutes. She had totally given up grooming, so quite hopeful :)

Very glad to hear - she's a fighter and sounds like her system's woken up and now craving food and that vitamin-stuff. The weight-gain's looking hopeful too. All paws crossed here for Kylie!

Thanks everyone. I do try Val

Some have probably seen on Facebook that Gillian's Joe is very poorly and down to 2.4kg :( - I am going to send her some of Kylie's Probiotics and vitamin paste - hopefully it will help him - he has also had a B12 shot.

Sent your regards and fusses. Gillian hasn't updated since last night. Hopefully it is because she is busy with cat grooming/sitting.

The vet called this morning. The first thing he said was that he was sorry and that I must know by now that he is rubbish at calling people with results.

He said her RBC is 21%, I don't know if that is good or bad, but he said he is happy with, as long as it doesn't get any worse and that she continues gaining weight. He said that she first started having bloods done, her white blood cells were high (something he hadn't mentioned before) but they have been coming down to normal levels.

He said he thinks we need to keep monitoring it, but we can leave it for 2 weeks this time.

This ties in with stuff I read online about anaemia, that they do bloods quite often at the beginning and gradually space them out until they are happy that it is under control.

We have hit the magic number :) - 3.060 - that is 100g in 2 days! - also just after she went outside for a poo outside, even though it was a sloppy one (sorry if TMI)

Good news, paws crossed she keeps it up. :)

My vet isn't the greatest at ringing back with results either, but he got Daz through all his urinary problems (Daz really does owe him his life) and he saved the leg when Basil was handed in as a stray with it broken and starting to set at a strange angle, so I forgive him a lot. :)

She does seem a bit brighter, but no longer the old Kylie. She is back to whacking other cats if they pass too close for her liking :)

Her latest favourite is Co-Op gourmet pate foils. I had assumed they were the same as ones sold in other supermarkets, but at an inflated price, but they do seem a different texture and she knows there difference. She literally cleans the plate. Where food is going through her so fast, she is getting through 6 or more meals a day.

But does Kylie whack you Mark? my little devil is sat on the sofa arm beside me and I've just turned to her and said hello and she's smacked me across the face   it just reminded me of this thread when she did it lol.

Sorry Jane - I missed this before. She doesn't usually whack me, although she came close today as I tried brushing her. She has always hated brushes and goes mental when I try. I had to give it a go today, as for some reason, over the last few days, She is moulting terribly. I have never seen anything like it. Hopefully it is just because we are having a mild patch. She is up to 3.23kg, not a huge increase since last week, but still creeping up in the right direction :) (her emissions are still deadly though!)
