This young Ginger Tom has been hanging around our garden for a few months. He was very shy and thin at first but now allows us to stroke him. We've also started feeding him as he was getting thinner (although we knew this would make him come back!) He's been sleeping on a bench in the garden. We've managed to try a collar with a message on him as well as putting him on Facebook but he obviously doesn't have an owner.
We've tried all the local cat shelters but they are full. We would pay to have him neutered if it would help find him a home.
Any advice or help would be welcome.
We live in Chadderton in Oldham.

Hi,
Thanks for the advice. I've now edited the subject. We are hoping to have him checked to see if he's chipped next week. We doubt it but it's definitely worth checking.
He's a lovely playful thing and just hope we can get him somewhere to live.
Thanks again.

ginger cats are usually fairly easy to rehome, so well worth getting him done - your local CP should be able to provide a voucher to cover most if not all the cost

We've taken him to the vet tonight to check to see if he's been chipped but unfortunately he hasn't.
